The End : Toronto Blue Jays game 162 recap

Image
Game 162 for all the marbles....  Should the Jays not have gotten swept by the Nats? Yes. Should the Jays not have gone 3-3 against the Tigers when they were vying for the top WC spot? Probably. Should the Jays not have gotten shit pumped by the Twins 3 times coming down the stretch? Absolutely. But those all unfortunately happened leaving the Jays on the outside looking in and their fate in the hands of the Nationals, Rays, and Angels. While leaving us the fans looking like Charlie from It's Always Sunny connecting the dots for a 1 Game WC birth.   The Jays came out hot and the bats were on fire going up 9-1 on a George Springer grand slam, while the Rays and Yanks were deadlocked at 0-0, the Mariners were down to the Angels, and the Red Sox were down 3-1 to the Nats.  The Jays close out game 162 strong killing the poor O's 12-4, with homers from Springer, Semien, and my king Vladdy Jr if this was going to be it at least they gave us a show...

How Sweep It Is (to be undefeated at home) : Blue Jays v Royals Recap

Image
The Blue Jays, back on Canadian soil for the first time in 670 days sweep our old 2015 ALCS foe the Kansas City Royals. Making it the first time since 2008 the Blue Jays have swept an opening series at the Rogers Centre. · No Vladdy? No problem!     When the line-up came out there were a TON of people complaining about Vladdy not being in it. Which is understandable with him being a no-doubt MVP candidate and it being the first 3 games back home in Toronto, but the kid literally has literally been in the line-up for 161 straight games and deserved a bit of rest (even though they had to tape him to the bench).                                 The Summer of George continues adding yet another RBI to his season tally, Semien who's a man on a mission (to hopefully be resigned by the Jays) MASHED a ball into the lower deck wall for his 25th HR of the year, and last but ce...

Dear Sportsnet, what are we doing? signed Blue Jays fans

Image
The Blue Jays played their second spring training of the year against the Pittsburgh Pirates, but you wouldn't know it since it was a radio only game and for some awful reason the Blue Jays don't have their games on the radio this season.  Welcome back to #BlueJays baseball. pic.twitter.com/zI0C1Yy8JZ — Scott Mitchell (@ScottyMitchTSN) March 1, 2021 This all started back on February 26th when Sportsnet came out and announced that they wouldn't have radio only broadcasts this year, instead they would be simulcasting the TV broadcast direct to the radio.  This is new: The Blue Jays won't broadcast directly on radio this season for the very first time. They will simulcast the TV broadcasts on radio. I love Dan Shulman and Buck Martinez doing TV. I really do. But historically I haven't loved simulcasts of any kind. — steve simmons (@simmonssteve) February 26, 2021 Just a dogshit horrible idea from the big brains at Sportsnet Media, baseball is a sport that is comp...
