Hello darkness, my old friend : Bills v Chiefs AFC championship Recap

Image
What a kick in the nuts that was, all of the momentum and hope we had were pissed way in just the first half.  I mean what the fuck happened?  We admittedly looked like shit against the Colts but we squeaked by and won, the same thing happened against the Ravens; we looked god awful but thankfully for us so did Lamar Jackson.  We were unbelievably lucky to make it as far as we did with how bad we looked, we had the opportunity to make changes and adjustments but that would've been too easy. We go into a game against the defending Super Bowl champs, with a chance to go to the Super Bowl for the first time since 93' and we looked horrendous.  The defence was non-existent, no one and I mean fucking no one would guard either Travis Kelce or hall of fame woman beater Tyreek Hill. This was a repeat of last week, just like with Lamar we let Mahomes run all over us without him even getting touched by the defence.  The offence was even worse, chicken ...

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND : Bills v Ravens divisional round Recap

Image
Drink it in Bills Mafia,  we're heading back to the AFC Championship for the first time since 1993. From Lamar Jackson running all over us, to Justin Tucker doinking not one but TWO field goals, the first half was a roller coaster of emotions that had me all over the place. The defence looked completely unprepared for the run game when the game started, but thank god for us Leslie Frazier made adjustments and the defence started to turn things around. Our other coordinator on the other hand wouldn't make those needed adjustments until the second half.  Yes I'm talking about our old pal Brian Daboll. Yes he's called a hell of a game in the past, but these last few have been hot dogshit. Which is a tough look for someone who's about to become the head coach of the San Diego  Chargers. Punting 3 times and having to rely on Tyler Bass on the other two drives isn't a good look on the résumé.  Which is why thankfully we came out of half time looking HOT...

WAGONS = CIRCLED: Bills v Colts wild card weekend Recap

Image
Holy shit, what a batshit fucking crazy game that was. The Bills had to overcome a lot to erase the 25 years of playoff hurt, from dogshit play calling from Brian Daboll, to Josh having to run all over the place, to Gabriel Davis toe-tapping it twice in a row, to that bullshit no fumble call there to end the game the Bills simply wouldn't die.  I'm going to keep it real with you, we did not look good. The play calling on offence was just absolutely horrible, shades of the Texans game from last year. We give Josh all of these weapons to throw to but hey let's run it 3 times in a row and pile on the 3 and outs. If we have any hope of making it to the Super Bowl, Brian Daboll has to figure it the fuck out.  Going into the game it was obvious Jonathan Taylor was going to be an issue with how we've handled the run. BUT the defence decided to show up and held him to only 78 yards, the passing game on the other hand was a weak spot. Rivers picked apart our secondary eve...

UNBILLIEVABLE: Bills v Dolphins week 17 Recap

Image
What a way to end the season, a thorough shit kicking of the Dolphins sees the Bills wrap up the #2 seed in the playoffs, becoming 13-3 for the third time in franchise history, and on top of that sweeping the division for the very first time.  After a shaky first quarter the boys came out and weren't fucking around. Without Cole Beasley we knew the offence was going to need some help and you'd assume that help would be John Brown. You'd assume wrong because man oh man did Isaiah McKenzie show up to play today, with 2 receiving TD's and a punt return TD he was on FIRE. John Brown did however make an impact when we needed it hauling in his first TD since the injury that sidelined him, Gabriel Davis is another guy who should get a heap of praise for making two MASSIVE catches and a TD down the stretch to lock the game up. While I'm at it I'll give Josh Norman some shine because he was getting shit on by Bills Mafia on twitter and shut us all up with a sweet Pick-...

OH HOW SWEEP IT IS : Bills v Patriots week 16 Recap

Image
WHAT A GAME, I know I say that a lot but this game truly deserves it. A record breaking ass-kicking that saw the Bills sweep the Patriots for the first time since 1999.  Everyone was in high gear, from Josh Allen coming out throwing for 320 yards, to Stefon Diggs having another lights out performance with 9 receptions for 145 yards oh and throw a hattrick of TD's on top of that. Even the special teams guys were on point with the killer Fake Punt and when we actually had to punt Bojorquez pinned them back like clockwork.    The defence didn't look so hot against to start but got their shit together holding the Pats to only 223 yards of total offence. The 145 of that being rushing shows there's still a slight problem with the run but we're getting better and look HOT heading into the postseason.  I mentioned record breaking night and holy shit were we breaking records like they were going out of style.  Josh Allen has just surpassed 300 yards p...

BIG DUBS: Bills v Steelers week 14 Recap

Image
I'll admit it, after the first half I was mad as hell, I was ready to shit can Brian Daboll, crawl in a hole, and die. But the boys came out of the half on FIRE to turn what could've been an embarrassing loss into a instant classic. That first half just was horrible, the Steelers D was all over us, Josh had no time in the pocket, and the running game couldn't get anywhere close to going. The play calling was dogshit terrble, shades of the playoff game against the Texans last year from Brian Daboll.  We were getting killed and badly needed a momentum switch, Taron Johnson came up big with his first career pick-six reading Big Ben's throw like a book taking it 51 yards to house and taking us into half time on a high note.    To. The. House. 📺 #PITvsBUF : https://t.co/x0Ul68YDP8 pic.twitter.com/yApEtpWw1K — Buffalo Bills (@BuffaloBills) December 14, 2020  Like I said the Bills came out HOT after halftime driving all the way down the field and seeing Josh connec...

Raising (hell in) Arizona: Bills v 49ers week 13 Recap

Image
21 years, that's how long it took to get a Buffalo Bills Monday Night Football win and man was it sweet. I come on here week after week and remind everyone just how good this team is, and you might think to yourself "Dalan, we were 8-3 going into this game, why would anyone think we aren't good?" tell that to ESPN who were treating it like the 9ers were 8-3 and we were 5-6, and tell that to Las Vegas who at the beginning of the game had us as 1.5 point underdogs.  Another win and another week of 300+ yards of offence for our very own Josh Allen, he was firing on all cylinders dropping absolute dimes and evading any pressure the 9ers threw at him.  Tonight was Josh Allen's 3rd game this season with 375+ pass yards, 3+ pass TD, and a 130+ passer rating He joins Drew Brees in 2013 as the only players since at least 1950 with 3 such games in a season @BuffaloBills — NFL Research (@NFLResearch) December 8, 2020 You're only as good as your weapons around you and J...

Buffalo Dreamin' on such a winter's day: Bills v Chargers week 12 Recap

Image
Sorry the Mamas & the Papas we're not dreamin' of California, we're Dreamin' of a home playoff game in Buffalo and we took one step towards that today beating the San Diego  LA Chargers 27-17 improving to 5-1 at home on the season. After the soul crushing last second loss to the Cardinals we needed the bye week, we needed our team back healthy and these 2 weeks helped tenfold. We were able to get Josh Norman, Levi Wallace, AJ Epenesa, Jerry Hughes, Taiwan Jones, and Dawson Knox all back healthy is a huge plus to a team that needs the help.  Dawson Knox came back in style with the opening TD of the game (I really don't get the Dawson hate I see all over the place, he's a young guy who's replacing the reliable Charles Clay, give him some more time before calling for his head). That was all fine and dandy until things got weird, because it can't just be an easy Buffalo Bills win now can it?. The run defence fell apart in the first quarter seeing Aust...

Sorry Russ it's Josh's turn to Cook : Bills v Seahawks week 9 Recap

Image
What a game. What a win. After barely beating the Pats if you told me that we were going to smoke the Seahawks I'd say you'd be lying and thank god I was wrong because the boys were on one today.  I'm on the team let Russ  Josh cook he went 31-38 for 415 yards, just a monster game and that's thanks to the O-Line (who yes haven't been great as of late) gave Josh all the time in the world in the pocket to pick out his target and drop DIMES. Oh one more thing, Josh hit another career high with 154 yards in the first quarter making that his career high in a single quarter. Other than Josh the offence had some bright spots with Cole Beasley having another great week picking up some important receptions along the way. Rookie Gabriel Davis got to add another tally to his season TD total and of course I have to show love to my guys Diggs and John Brown who both made the catches when it mattered combining for 217 yards.   Now y'know who really deserves the l...

How sweet it is (to finally beat the Pats at home): Bills v Patriots week 8 recap

Image
I know they aren't the big bad Tom Brady led New England Patriots, I know they didn't have Julian Edelman, N'Keal Harry, or Stephon Gilmore, I know this is one of the weakest Patriots teams we've played in a while but y'know what I dont give a shit. It's the first time since September 25th, 2011 we've beat the Pats at home and it couldn't have happened in a more 2020 fashion if we tried. I've been saying for weeks just wait on the run game they'll show up when we need them and today was that day. Zack Moss with 81 yards and Singletary with 86 yards combine to be the first Bills rushing tandem to have 80+ yards a piece since Shady and Gillislee did it back in 2016. Zack Moss also hauled in his first and second career rushing TD's making him the undeniable MVP of the game. With a total of 190 yards it was the most rushing yards in a game since week 12 last year.  Going into the game without Micah Hyde, Josh Norman, and AJ Epenesa I knew the...

The Tyler Bass Game: Bills v Jets week 7 recap

Image
In this bizarre backwards ass season I knew it was gonna get weird but if i'm being honest I really didn't think it would Tyler Bass being our offensive MVP of the game weird but here we are.  #Bills scoring today: - Tyler Bass 53-yard FG - Tyler Bass 48-yard FG - Tyler Bass 46-yard FG - Tyler Bass 37-yard FG - Tyler Bass 29-yard FG - Tyler Bass 40-yard FG — NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) October 25, 2020  I'll admit it after missing the first Field goal of the game I was pissed like the rest of you, I didn't think that Tyler Bass would take that hate and shove it right up our hoops but he really did. Going 6-2 today, Scoring literally all 18 points of offence, and tieing a Buffalo Bills record for Field Goals made in a single game set back in 1996 by Steve Christie against none other than the New York Jets.  It's hard to say anything else positive about the offence when the Kicker is doing all the work but Josh Allen looked back to his old self after two not...

What a miserable Monday night: Bills v Chiefs week 6 recap

Image
Well that was just awful, I knew going into a game against the reigning super bowl champions wasn't going to be easy. But I expected us to at least put up a fight, use the shitbag weather to our advantage, and not just sit there and take it all night long like we did.  Did I expect the reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes to be an issue? of course I did, but did I expect us to just not hit him or apply any pressure whatsoever? No. Play after play the pocket would break down and Mahomes would break off and NO ONE hit him or even tried to push him out of bounds.  If you think not trying to defend the best QB in the league was a problem, how about giving up 245 rushing yards (which is a franchise record) with Clyde Edwards-Helaire getting 161 yards (his career high). Just like with Mahomes nobody was even trying to bring Helaire down, that highlighted the biggest issue that we saw last week where all Tennessee had to do is to get under 5 yards on a 3rd down and was an im...

The Kinda Good, The Mostly Bad, and The Really Ugly: Bills v Titans week 5 recap

Image
Well I have to say while I didn't expect a 16-0 season I definitely didn't expect our first loss of the year to come to the Covid stricken Tennessee Titans. But it did and it came in what I would call embarrassing fashion losing 42-16 on the first Tuesday Night Football game since 2010.  Going into the game I had high hopes, I mean c'mon we were 4-0, Josh Allen was rolling and so was our defence. But seeing the pregame injury report I knew this wasn't going to be an easy game, with Tre'Davious White and Matt Milano out the defence was going to be at a disadvantage.  I knew that Derrick Henry was going to be an issue and I don't see how we kinda didn't gameplan to contain one of the best backs in the league. Every time the titans had the ball on a third and short there was no way to stop tractorcito from just plowing over the defence. That was shown when he threw Josh Norman out the club, us as Bills fans are just going to have to accept that that picture ...

No fear and just a little bit of loathing in Las Vegas: Bills v Raiders week 4 recap

Image
Last week when I was talking about the defensive struggles I mentioned how hopefully Josh Norman coming back from injury could make an impact in a secondary that didn't look so hot. Unfortunately for me it took Levi Wallace (who's been awesome this season) going out injured to see Josh Norman come in to get into his first game of the year and man oh man did he have a day.  As much as I'd like to say this was an offensive shootout I would be lying, and i'm not here to lie to you i'm here to remind you that the Bills are rolling and we're not slowing down yet. On the first drive of the game the O-line was giving Josh Allen all day to pick a target and fire a rocket down field that led to Gabriel Davis cashing in on his first and only reception of the day picking up a TD putting the Bills ahead early. Cole Beasley came up with an unbelievable catch holding onto the ball while being hit and spun around in the air thankfully landing in the endzone. Singletary loo...

Josh Allen goes Dolphin hunting: Bills v Dolphins week 2 recap

Image
Did he do it again or did he do it again? Last week I mentioned how he was the first Bills QB since 2016 to get over 300 yards of offence. He follows that up with a career high 417 yards and 4 TD's putting on a clinic against the Dolphins secondary. Let's take a look at how the day broke down and how we pulled off a 31-28 heart attack win   The Offence : After a weak first drive that saw Diggs and Knox as the only two really getting targets, spreading it out on the second drive and getting John Brown and Cole Beasley (who made some unbelievable catches) involved got the boys going and got the team moving. A 11 play, 97 yard scoring drive was capped off by rookie Reggie Gilliam getting his first TD of his career on his first play of his young NFL career.  Even though Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen weren't connecting on that first drive they got to cooking for the rest of the game seeing Diggs get his first TD in a Bills uniform even though us the viewer couldn't see shit d...

Circling the Wagons: Bills v Jets week 1 recap

Image
It's finally here after the long abyss of nothingness that is 2020, Buffalo Bills football comes storming back and storm back they did. Coming out in the first half like the big swinging dicks we should, the defence forced Sam Darnold and the Jets into not 1, not 2, but 3 straight 3 and outs. Stuffing Le'Veon Bell left and right and having Trent Murphy sack the shit out of Darnold and the next play bringing the heat and forcing him to gift an interception to Matt Milano who was a machine last year. New man Stefon Diggs got involved early on the first drive which is what we absolutely love to see but most of the action in the passing game went through the main man John Brown.  John Brown was a WEAPON in the first half getting 5 receptions for 66 yards and a TD, he was everywhere running incredible routes and making incredible catches, he was unreal last year and only seems to have gotten better over the offseason. Love seeing the rookies getting involved early with a sweet littl...
