How Sweep It Is (to be undefeated at home) : Blue Jays v Royals Recap
· No Vladdy? No problem!
When the line-up came out there were a TON of people complaining about Vladdy not being in it. Which is understandable with him being a no-doubt MVP candidate and it being the first 3 games back home in Toronto, but the kid literally has literally been in the line-up for 161 straight games and deserved a bit of rest (even though they had to tape him to the bench).
The Summer of George continues adding yet another RBI to his season tally, Semien who's a man on a mission (to hopefully be resigned by the Jays) MASHED a ball into the lower deck wall for his 25th HR of the year, and last but certainly not least everyone's favourite 3rd baseman Santiago Espinal crushed another Homer 394 feet into the Bullpen. If you can tell by my constant "SANTIA🐐" tweets I absolutely fucking love Espinal and I really hope Charlie can get him into the line-up more.
· HIP HIP JOSÉ
The star of the show was none other than the new guy: José Berríos. Yeah the first inning was Tyler Chatwood esque, but the came back with a vengeance ending the day with 6 IP 0 ER, 5 H, BB, 7 K's. A starting rotation of Ryu, Ray, Berríos, and Manoah is looking FILTHY, I know it sucked to lose Austin Martin and SWR but another year and a half of José Berríos makes me feel a million times better about the pitching staff.

· Final Thoughts
We're only one month away from September so every game matter more and more for the Jays who are currently 3 games back of the 2nd Wild Card spot, so let's keep this hot streak rolling as the Cleveland Indians roll into town also fighting for that same Wild Card spot. So let's keep the foot on the gas with our sights set on October... GO JAYS GO
