No fear and just a little bit of loathing in Las Vegas: Bills v Raiders week 4 recap

Last week when I was talking about the defensive struggles I mentioned how hopefully Josh Norman coming back from injury could make an impact in a secondary that didn't look so hot. Unfortunately for me it took Levi Wallace (who's been awesome this season) going out injured to see Josh Norman come in to get into his first game of the year and man oh man did he have a day.

As much as I'd like to say this was an offensive shootout I would be lying, and i'm not here to lie to you i'm here to remind you that the Bills are rolling and we're not slowing down yet. On the first drive of the game the O-line was giving Josh Allen all day to pick a target and fire a rocket down field that led to Gabriel Davis cashing in on his first and only reception of the day picking up a TD putting the Bills ahead early.

Cole Beasley came up with an unbelievable catch holding onto the ball while being hit and spun around in the air thankfully landing in the endzone. Singletary looked awesome in the first half with Diggs and  Isaiah McKenzie getting some looks spreading it around was working. Josh Allen looked awesome again with a bit of a scare coming at the end of the 2nd quarter going off with a left shoulder injury but quickly returned sparring us of having to watch anymore Matt Barkley than we have to. It was nice to see Diggs go over to Barkley when he was getting prepped to almost have to come in and coaching him up on the plays they've been running, good teammate shit.

Even though Josh Allen came back injuries ran rampant on the Bills with Cole Beasley going out with a foot issue but he did come back in, the aforementioned Levi Wallace going out with an ankle injury,  and Matt Milano going out to get looked at. Hopefully we can blame it on the new turf in Vegas with even a few of the Raiders going down during the game, and have everyone back at 100% next week. Now about the defence...

The Defence looked like it had turned the corner holding the Raiders to just two field goals up all the way up until the end of the 2nd quarter, when the Raiders seemed to fly down the field seeing the robot formerly known as Jason Witten get a TD as the first half expired. The same problem we've been having these past couple weeks persisted where we come out of half time and just look like we've never played defence before.

The 3rd quarter was back and forth seeing the Raiders cut the deficit down to 1, Derek Carr and Zay Jones (yes that Zay Jones, the one who was going to be apart of the future alongside almost super fat Kelvin Benjamin) picked us apart with Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow making us look silly. It all came down to a massive 4th quarter from the Bills D to put the game away with a little help from a huge punt return from Andre Roberts.

The defence came out in the 4th and put their nuts on the table, first it was Josh Norman who came up big time after batting the ball loose and causing a fumble opening the door for a Devin Singletary TD to put the game farther out of reach for the Raiders. After that the Raiders got the ball back and none other than Ed Oliver made a massive stop on 4th and 1 to get the Bills the ball right back. To cap off the Bills D's 4th quarter heroics culminated in a sack and fumble recovery by first year Buffalo Bill Quinton Jefferson.

After all of the that the Bills held on even with the garbage time TD from Agholor to make any las vegan who got blacked out during the game feel a little better when they look at the box score monday morning. The Bills are 4-0 for the first time since 2008, Josh Allen still looks incredible, same with Diggs, same with Josh Norman. Lets keep this rolling as we still sit alone atop the AFC East and make like a redneck with a guitar and head on out to Nashville to chase our dreams.
