The Kinda Good, The Mostly Bad, and The Really Ugly: Bills v Titans week 5 recap
Well I have to say while I didn't expect a 16-0 season I definitely didn't expect our first loss of the year to come to the Covid stricken Tennessee Titans. But it did and it came in what I would call embarrassing fashion losing 42-16 on the first Tuesday Night Football game since 2010.
Going into the game I had high hopes, I mean c'mon we were 4-0, Josh Allen was rolling and so was our defence. But seeing the pregame injury report I knew this wasn't going to be an easy game, with Tre'Davious White and Matt Milano out the defence was going to be at a disadvantage.
I knew that Derrick Henry was going to be an issue and I don't see how we kinda didn't gameplan to contain one of the best backs in the league. Every time the titans had the ball on a third and short there was no way to stop tractorcito from just plowing over the defence. That was shown when he threw Josh Norman out the club, us as Bills fans are just going to have to accept that that picture shown above is going to haunt us for the foreseeable future.
The Red Zone defence was literally non-existent, and when I say literally I mean literally. The Titans took six trips to the red zone and all SIX times they scored a TD. In the Rams game when the defence looked equally as bad they at least got some stops in the red zone to give us a snowball's chance in hell to win. But against the Titans they couldn't even do that, yes they held the titans to a handful of punts but the offence couldn't come anywhere close to capitalizing on those punts.
