The Tyler Bass Game: Bills v Jets week 7 recap
In this bizarre backwards ass season I knew it was gonna get weird but if i'm being honest I really didn't think it would Tyler Bass being our offensive MVP of the game weird but here we are.
#Bills scoring today:
— NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) October 25, 2020
- Tyler Bass 53-yard FG
- Tyler Bass 48-yard FG
- Tyler Bass 46-yard FG
- Tyler Bass 37-yard FG
- Tyler Bass 29-yard FG
- Tyler Bass 40-yard FG
I'll admit it after missing the first Field goal of the game I was pissed like the rest of you, I didn't think that Tyler Bass would take that hate and shove it right up our hoops but he really did. Going 6-2 today, Scoring literally all 18 points of offence, and tieing a Buffalo Bills record for Field Goals made in a single game set back in 1996 by Steve Christie against none other than the New York Jets.
It's hard to say anything else positive about the offence when the Kicker is doing all the work but Josh Allen looked back to his old self after two not so great weeks of play, going 30-43 for 307 yards with 61 rushing yards sprinkled in there as well. Tyler Kroft was out there making it happen as literally our only tight end covering for the rest of the Covid boys. Cole Beasley also had a monster week surpassing his career high for receptions with 11 receptions for 112 yards.
The defence who'd been exposed for the past two weeks looked honestly like shit in the first half letting old man Frank Gore drag his balls all over the front 4 and seeing Sam Darnold go 11/13. BUT come the second half they looked back to their old selves holding the Jets to 4 consecutive punts and finishing off the game with a Jerry Hughes interception.
I'm not going to complain about being 5-2 at the top of the division, a win is a win even if it came from field goals only. Let's hope we can get back to scoring some actual touchdowns against the scum of the earth the New England Patriots.
