Buffalo Dreamin' on such a winter's day: Bills v Chargers week 12 Recap
Sorry the Mamas & the Papas we're not dreamin' of California, we're Dreamin' of a home playoff game in Buffalo and we took one step towards that today beating the San Diego LA Chargers 27-17 improving to 5-1 at home on the season.
After the soul crushing last second loss to the Cardinals we needed the bye week, we needed our team back healthy and these 2 weeks helped tenfold. We were able to get Josh Norman, Levi Wallace, AJ Epenesa, Jerry Hughes, Taiwan Jones, and Dawson Knox all back healthy is a huge plus to a team that needs the help.
Dawson Knox came back in style with the opening TD of the game (I really don't get the Dawson hate I see all over the place, he's a young guy who's replacing the reliable Charles Clay, give him some more time before calling for his head). That was all fine and dandy until things got weird, because it can't just be an easy Buffalo Bills win now can it?.
The run defence fell apart in the first quarter seeing Austin Ekeler have his choice of running lanes, but they adjusted and held the Chargers to 4 straight punts to end the first half. Our first half highlight is obviously the Cole Beasley to Gabriel Davis trick play TD, goddamn was that a beauty we love a trick play and I love to see them work as often as they do for us.
Tricky tricky. 😈

The rest of the game felt like a haze, we went back and forth, swapping fumbles, sacks, and interceptions like they're going out of style. Thankfully Tyler Bass delivered again to put is up by 10 with the clock winding down and the defence showed up at the end to hold the Chargers scoreless after they attempted to kill us with the Hail Mary all over again.
It's great to be back and it's great to get another notch in the win column before we head out to San Francisco for Monday Night Football next week. Let's stay healthy and stay focused and keep our eyes on the prize of a trip to Tampa in February.
