The Tyler Bass Game: Bills v Jets week 7 recap

Image
In this bizarre backwards ass season I knew it was gonna get weird but if i'm being honest I really didn't think it would Tyler Bass being our offensive MVP of the game weird but here we are.  #Bills scoring today: - Tyler Bass 53-yard FG - Tyler Bass 48-yard FG - Tyler Bass 46-yard FG - Tyler Bass 37-yard FG - Tyler Bass 29-yard FG - Tyler Bass 40-yard FG — NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) October 25, 2020  I'll admit it after missing the first Field goal of the game I was pissed like the rest of you, I didn't think that Tyler Bass would take that hate and shove it right up our hoops but he really did. Going 6-2 today, Scoring literally all 18 points of offence, and tieing a Buffalo Bills record for Field Goals made in a single game set back in 1996 by Steve Christie against none other than the New York Jets.  It's hard to say anything else positive about the offence when the Kicker is doing all the work but Josh Allen looked back to his old self after two not so

Back in the New York Groove: Bills v Jets week 7 preview

Look I'm gonna keep it real with you, we looked like shit against the Titans and we really looked like shit against the Chiefs. The O-Line killed us in the Titans game and the lack of hitting and defence in general killed us against the Chiefs. Those are fixable problems especially how early we are in the season but troubling especially after the HOT 4-0 start.  Wednesday McBeane made some moves by first releasing a guy who only a few months ago got a three year 15 million dollar extension Quinton Spain. A guy who probably could've helped out with the bad o-line play, but with Jon Feliciano hopefully coming back soon hopefully this Spain move will help in the long run opening up more cap space which could equal more help for the defence who really need it. About the defence, on wednesday D-Tackle Justin Zimmer was signed to the active roster. Zimmer who was about one of the only guys who looked halfway decent against the Chiefs will hopefully continue that against the Jets

What a miserable Monday night: Bills v Chiefs week 6 recap

Well that was just awful, I knew going into a game against the reigning super bowl champions wasn't going to be easy. But I expected us to at least put up a fight, use the shitbag weather to our advantage, and not just sit there and take it all night long like we did.  Did I expect the reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes to be an issue? of course I did, but did I expect us to just not hit him or apply any pressure whatsoever? No. Play after play the pocket would break down and Mahomes would break off and NO ONE hit him or even tried to push him out of bounds.  If you think not trying to defend the best QB in the league was a problem, how about giving up 245 rushing yards (which is a franchise record) with Clyde Edwards-Helaire getting 161 yards (his career high). Just like with Mahomes nobody was even trying to bring Helaire down, that highlighted the biggest issue that we saw last week where all Tennessee had to do is to get under 5 yards on a 3rd down and was an immediate 1s

The Kinda Good, The Mostly Bad, and The Really Ugly: Bills v Titans week 5 recap

Well I have to say while I didn't expect a 16-0 season I definitely didn't expect our first loss of the year to come to the Covid stricken Tennessee Titans. But it did and it came in what I would call embarrassing fashion losing 42-16 on the first Tuesday Night Football game since 2010.  Going into the game I had high hopes, I mean c'mon we were 4-0, Josh Allen was rolling and so was our defence. But seeing the pregame injury report I knew this wasn't going to be an easy game, with Tre'Davious White and Matt Milano out the defence was going to be at a disadvantage.  I knew that Derrick Henry was going to be an issue and I don't see how we kinda didn't gameplan to contain one of the best backs in the league. Every time the titans had the ball on a third and short there was no way to stop tractorcito from just plowing over the defence. That was shown when he threw Josh Norman out the club, us as Bills fans are just going to have to accept that that picture

Giving thanks to Kyle Dubas

In the year of our lord two thousand and twenty we all need something to be thankful for. This year on thanksgiving there's one man every Toronto hockey fan should be thankful for and that man is Kyle Dubas. After an abysmal end to the season with the Leafs getting bounced by the Blue Jackets some major changes were needed and we didn't waste any time. Before the draft and free agency started up we shit canned Kapanen, I was a Kasperi fan but we want changes we were gonna have to make some hard choices.  Following that up with handing out two one year extensions, one to the 23 year old Denis Malgin who we got from the Panthers last year and will hopefully get some more time in the show, the other was given out to Fan Favourite and hot tub enthusiast Jason Spezza. The boys seem to love Spezz, he's from Mississauga and we always love to see a hometown guy get to stick around. I'm not going to go super in depth to all of our draft picks, but I'd thought I'd point

Things aren't looking so great for a Bills v Titans game

As we inch closer to our match up against the Tennessee Titans who look like a hot covid mess right about now... There is another Titans’ player positive test this morning and the inconclusive positive test from yesterday is now a confirmed positive, per source. The Titans’ facility remains closed and the prohibition on in person activities continues. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 8, 2020 They had to cancel their game last week against the Steelers and now they're up to 23 total positive tests since September 24th. With their facility closed some of the Titans went out for a Tom Brady esque parking lot workout at a high school, breaking proto and pissing off the NFL. More positive tests in Nashville isn't the best thing when we're supposed to be travelling down there for a 1pm matchup on Sunday, the players were given an option to delay to Monday or Tuesday but we're supposed to be playing the Chiefs on Thursday night.  If that happens the Chiefs game would

No fear and just a little bit of loathing in Las Vegas: Bills v Raiders week 4 recap

Last week when I was talking about the defensive struggles I mentioned how hopefully Josh Norman coming back from injury could make an impact in a secondary that didn't look so hot. Unfortunately for me it took Levi Wallace (who's been awesome this season) going out injured to see Josh Norman come in to get into his first game of the year and man oh man did he have a day.  As much as I'd like to say this was an offensive shootout I would be lying, and i'm not here to lie to you i'm here to remind you that the Bills are rolling and we're not slowing down yet. On the first drive of the game the O-line was giving Josh Allen all day to pick a target and fire a rocket down field that led to Gabriel Davis cashing in on his first and only reception of the day picking up a TD putting the Bills ahead early. Cole Beasley came up with an unbelievable catch holding onto the ball while being hit and spun around in the air thankfully landing in the endzone. Singletary loo
